Italy international goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano joined Arsenal from Serie B side Palermo on a season-long loan in September 2013.
The 27-year-old spent the 2012/13 season on loan at Fiorentina, where he kept 11 clean sheets in 32 league appearances.

Viviano began his career at Brescia, and also had spells in Serie A with Inter Milan and Bologna.
An Italian international, Viviano is an important member of the Arsenal first-team squad, providing valuable back up and competition for Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski.
Arsène Wenger said at the time of the signing: “Viviano is a player that we have rated for some time and we are very pleased to have signed him on loan. He’s experienced and has proved himself at a high level, and provides us with excellent cover to our existing goalkeepers.”
